Ellen Schutt is the Managing Director of GOED, the Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s. Ellen has been with the company for 13+ years, and oversees all aspects of the organization’s mission to use science-based information to promote consumption of and enable access to quality EPA & DHA from all sources for a positive impact on public health.

Ellen previously directed GOED’s communications strategy for industry and consumers and was instrumental in organizing a successful consumer education campaign in 2015.

Izzy Small

Isabella Davis is an Account Executive at JungleScout and a longtime sales strategist in the natural products, CPG, and e-commerce space. Isabella loves trendspotting and helping executives understand the ever-changing landscape of the Gen Z consumer. When she was 18 years old, she had 100k subscribers on her vegan YouTube channel. She is no longer vegan, but still enjoys cooking nourishing meals in my free time. 

 

 

 

Nicole Kunin - Small

Nicole Kunin joined the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) in early 2022 and currently serves as the Commercial Manager for the U.S. West Coast. In this role, she plays a part in driving market development across North America, with a particular focus on the Supplement and Pet Food sectors.

Nicole brings a strong background in sustainable seafood to her work at MSC. Prior to joining the organization, she held roles at Clearwater Seafoods and began her career with the Global Seafood Alliance, gaining valuable experience across the seafood supply chain.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in marine Affairs and Marine Biology from the University of New England, where she developed her passion for ocean conservation and sustainable fisheries.

Simon Seward

Simon Seward joined Aker BioMarine in 2019. He is now the CEO of Aker BioMarine’s Human Health Ingredient business. Prior to joining Aker BioMarine, he was SVP Sales & Marketing at Algalif and Commercial Director at NutraQ. Seward has a master’s degree in marketing from Staffordshire University.

Bill Giebler is the Content and Insights Director at Informa's Nutrition Business Journal, where he manages the editorial and data analytics teams, drawing on his experience both as a journalist and a business manager in dietary supplements retail, natural products product development and more. Since 1996, NBJ has offered business intelligence and thought leadership to all levels of the nutrition industry. At the core of this is the market-sizing data that shows the What, Where and Why of the dietary supplement industry. That is, the ingredients (vitamins, herbs/botanicals, sports nutrition, specialty ingredients and minerals), the channels in which they are sold (natural foods stores, vitamin shops, mass market retailers, e-commerce, MLMs and the practitioner channel), and the health conditions for which consumers are purchasing them.

Danieel Masterson - Small

Danielle Masterson is a journalist, host and podcaster known for her engaging interview style that blends warmth, wit and curiosity with thoughtful questions. Nicknamed the “Terry Gross of nutraceuticals,” Danielle is best recognized for her award-winning NutraCast podcast and NutraWomen Wednesday series. 

 

A high-level conversationalist, Danielle has interviewed government officials, Fortune 500 CEOs and top researchers on complex scientific topics, regulations, trends and more. She is also a regular commentator on the circuit and can be found chairing hot ticket events like the Sports and Active Nutrition Summit and appearing on The Vitamin Shoppe’s Brand Summit influencer panel.

 

Since 2019, the dietary supplement industry has looked to Danielle to deliver the latest news in nutraceuticals. Prior to joining NutraIngredients, she worked as a news anchor covering crime, politics and business, as well as national and world events. She received her journalism degree from Michigan State University.

Tabitha Daley

Tabitha Daley is a registered and licensed dietitian, serving as the Senior Brand Manager for Private Brands at The Vitamin Shoppe. Her responsibilities and strengths include reviewing scientific research, identifying ingredient trends and white space opportunities in the marketplace, product formulation, brand management, and execution. Alongside her Master of Science degree in both Nutrition and Exercise Physiology, Tabitha has a decade worth of experience spanning across the nutraceutical industry, clinical nutrition, and sports nutrition.

 

Simo Echchafai

Simo Echchafai joined Aker BioMarine in 2019, he is a krill enthusiast and currently heading the US sales and marketing operations. Before that Simo was head of marketing and growth for the human health and nutrition business in Aker BioMarine. Simo holds an MBA from BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo and has over 20 year’s experience in FMCG, health and beauty industry across multiple markets including EMEA, India and the Pacific.

Erika Craft, Market Research Analyst for NBJ, manages the NBJ data model implements both quantitative market sizing data and qualitative consumer survey research that helps inform all NBJ publications, while providing actionable insights for the industry. Erika translates complex information into strategic insights, drives informed decision-making, unveils market intricacies and presents potential growth opportunities in the dynamic and ever-changing landscape of the supplement industry. She is passionate about consumer health and wellness, and aims to help both individuals and brands with a deeper understanding of supplement industry.

Dr. Line Johnsen, Vice President of Science and Regulatory Affairs at Aker BioMarine has a very important role within Aker BioMarine, but also in our industry, in general. For the last decade, Line has been working closely with our internal science department and external experts alike, making sure our pipeline is always full of new initiatives. She also helps guide regulatory for best practices the industry at large. Simultaneously, Line works closely with the marketing, sales and communications teams to bring this all together. 

Bill

Dr. Harris is an internationally recognized expert on omega-3 fatty acids and how they can benefit patients with heart disease. He obtained his Ph.D. in Human Nutrition from the University of Minnesota and did post-doctoral fellowships in Clinical Nutrition and Lipid Metabolism with Dr. Bill Connor at the Oregon Health Sciences University. His interest in omega-3 fatty acids began with his postdoctoral work when he published his first study on the effects of salmon oil on serum lipids in humans (1980). Since that time he has been the recipient of five NIH grants for studies on the effects of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) on human health. He has more than 300 publications relating to fatty acids, including omega-3s, in medical literature and was an author on two American Heart Association scientific statements on fatty acids: “Fish Consumption, Fish Oil, Omega-3 Fatty Acids and Cardiovascular Disease” (2002), and “Omega-6 Fatty Acids and Risk for Cardiovascular Disease” (2009) both published in the journal Circulation. Dr. Harris is a Professor in the Department of Medicine in the Sanford School of Medicine at the University of South Dakota and the President and CEO of OmegaQuant.
