Integrated supply chain
By controlling the entire supply chain, from harvesting krill, processing raw materials, logistics, final processing, product specifications and internal and external audits, Aker BioMarine is able to guarantee the highest level of quality and quality assurance of Superba™ krill products.
Superba™ krill is manufactured according to agreed specifications, quality standards and in accordance with national and international food regulations and legislations.

Aker BioMarine is a marine biotechnology company that specializes in deliveries of high-value marine ingredients and products. The marine biotechnology company has an integrated value chain, ranging from harvesting marine resources to the finished customer product.
Aker BioMarine was established by Aker in 2006 to create a new type of marine ingredient company that could deliver value-added products through an optimized value chain to aquaculture, nutraceutical, food ingredient, and pharmaceutical markets. Aker BioMarine is a young company, but it has years of experience in the marine harvest and biotechnology fields through the merged companies Aker BioMarine and Natural.
Aker BioMarine’s goal is to leverage the experience, strong position across the value chain and drive to become the leading marine biotechnology company with an initial focus on developing products based on Antarctic krill. Aker BioMarine’s primary business activity is to produce high-value marine ingredients for the health and nutrition markets, as well as for aquaculture feed, and other animal fodder.
Aker BioMarine holds two krill-licenses from the Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries.
